Hi, Can I ask you something??? I'll do my best explaining technically in writing... In late December 2024 I purchased a Centon DataStick Sport 512GB USB 3.2 Flash Drive S1-U3W2-512 Got it??? I have Windows 11 on a HP tower, "Plug and Play". When I insert the 512 GB flash drive, 3.2. I was able to format it. Or it was already format as NTFS. Okay, I was able to storage all of my files that required toward that size. Then LATER, in months or so, when I decided to look at my files on the 512 GB 3.2 flash drive.... Windows 11 won't load it!! All it shows "New rename"!!!!! What??? Windows think that flash drive has not been format or empty. And sometimes Windows 11 freeze because it does NOT recognize that flash drive. It take a while for Windows 11 to recognize by re-start the computer. What's wrong with Windows 11?? Same problem with ScanDisk 256 GB 2.0 flash drive. Once I filled with files, than the next day or so Windows 11 doesn't recognize it by thinking "New rename". Do you recognize this problem with Windows 11 AND with Windows 7?? And of course with VISTA. What's wrong with these Windows that do NOT recognize flash drives that are version 3.2 that I stored on?? Or maybe every time Windows 11 receives UDPATES, it sometimes screws things up. It either Microsoft doesn't know people are using flash drive version 3.2 or lower, version 2.0. And whatever their updates are, can screw things up on the computer. Such as Not recognize the device or icon displays. Do you know?? Hope all helps with answers?? Thank you,
Most likely you have fake flash drives - use https://www.grc.com/validrive.htm to verify real capacity.
