    Hi,

Anybody have problem with USB portable HD? I'm currently running Win7 Ultimate. If I plug-in my USB HD, in the Disk Management console, I can see the drive installed, but the status showing "Read Only". I tried different kind of enclosure and HD, but no luck. Also, in Windows Explorer, I can only see folders and files in the root, no subfolders and subfiles.

If anyone of you guys know how to fix this, please share with me. THX....:)

I finally manage to solved the problem.

Apparently, Windows 7 have this function where if the USB storage isn't getting enough power from the USB port, it will set the USB drive into Read-Only state to prevent corruption due to writing state. So, I use an old NOKIA charger (5.7V DC Output) to add power to the USB drive enclosure. :D:D:D:D
