Problem With Windows Loader v1.9.2 By Daz With W2k8 R2 Enterprise/Standard on XEN vm

    Right, thats what the word 'or' in my original sentence normally means :)

    1. WindSLIC NTFS adds a bootsector containing the SLIC of your choice, you need to install Certificate And key manually, or let Windows Loader do it for you after you installed the WindSLIC NTFS bootsector and rebooted (Windows Loader only install Key & Certificate if SLIC is found)
    2. Modding the Hyper-V vmwp.exe executable has the advantage that all new Hyper-V guest OS'es have this modded SLIC by default, so you only need to install Certificate & Serial

    FreeStyler, is it possible that run WindSLIC + Windows Loader with command line? because i want add to my windows template,

    I doubt it, WindSLIC is a GUI application, you have to select the SLIC of your choice and install it. I do not think command line parameters exist for it (ask the author)

    BTW, if you use the Hyper-V vmwp.exe Mod instead, you simply can call Windows Loader to install the Key & Certificate from the command line (Read the Windows Loader documentation for details how to accomplish this task)

    how should i execute Hyper-V vmwp.exe Mod ?
    just download in host node and execute it? just it?
    this does nto harm to my main node?

    and can you give me the link fo documention for windows loader if you have? i will search right now,

    i execute your script and replace vmwp.exe in host os now i can create vm and use windows loader for active it right?

    Yup, Windows Loader does detect the existing SLIC and therefor only insert Key and Certificate automatically, you should be activated immediately afterwards
    Note: the modded vmwp.exe I linked to is for Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1/Windows Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 SP1, it will not work on Windows Server 2008 R2/Windows Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 without SP1

    FreeStyler, you should condense your excellent answers to a sticky. That saves reading all of the thread: Can the Hyper-V BIOS be modded - in the Virtualization Forum!
    And the WindSLIC thread is also in another forum - difficult to find.
