I know, i'm testing with an updated (march) win 7 SP1 install and it keeps searching now, in the simplix thread, last week, i showed windows update works just fine but now, nothing....
My PC gets the list of updates last night at 02:30AM. 7 hours after the release of the patch tuesday updates. I put it to install at 14:30PM aprox and almost 6 hours after it still says "Downloading 11 updates 0KB in total 0% complete"
Please please please!!!! All of you have to realize M$ is trying, by all means, to kill any former Windows version to Windows 10. It's a fact, it's hell in Earth! Embrace it! Grief! Cry! Moan! But accept it at the end
The real bad thing about this is, i have to do it again, in audit mode for capture This was just a test
I just done it last weekend on 2 laptops, one took 2 days to get it and the other one over night but MS updates sure does suck
Checked yesterday and got the update list in about 20 min. Needed 7. Copied the list and downloaded them from M$ update catalog. Installed them using a batch file. All done in less than 1 hour. Rechecked again today and got through in 5 1/2 min. Just the malicious software removal tool left which I don't bother with most of the time.
