@leather_nun: Your "phoenix thing" is much different..I think the post I was reading about your install issues is not the same as this OP..

@JimWatts I have downloaded the Bios you have backed up and they can be moddewd but not flashed..I dont see what is to be gained by the concern with the links viability??? You may be relegated to the "last chance" option in the activation folder in the OEMBIOS changer...(if you want XP)

I seriously doubt your problem is a hardware limitation...
