I don't think you can add extension to Project Spartan with current builds now, Google Chrome is the king for that.
In the latest builds you can only import bookmarks from another browser but cannot import from HTML. To forestall that issue in Microsoft Edge is to us Google browser to import your HTML bookmarks first before using Microsoft Edge import feature. That is a bit drudgery though.
Where is the setting in the Edge browser to change where you can save a file that is downloading. Whenever I download a file using Edge it automatically starts downloading and does not give an option to save to a different directory. Just looked in the MS feedback forum and that question has been asked multiple times.
It automatically saves your downloaded file or files to 'download folder'. There is no option to change the directory of your choice to save files to yet. I hope Microsoft would fix that as time goes by. There is a lot still missing. I can't even log into some websites in Microsoft Edge.
You have to change those setting from within Windows Explorer (File Manager). That will let you assign any folder for downloads you like to use. By the way, that folder m,ust be exist while changing the location for Download!
One feauture which missing in Edge is drop down arrow besides the web addres space bar for most visited pages like in Firefox, can't use it without that
I quite agree with you it is an awesome browser but a lot is still missing. Microsoft needs to take its time and makes it the best browser by including all the features found in other browsers. Make it jack-of-all-trade browser. Then I think most people wouldn't have the thought of using or replacing other browsers with it.
Microsoft Edge renders video images better than Google Chrome and Firefox in a 4k screen. It gives in-depth view of images and scales the texts in a smoother way that you would ever imagined. I think Microsoft Edge did well in that area than the other two notable browsers.
at Speed Test.net windows 10 downloads at 30 Mbps in Fire Fox and Edge. Running with Windows 7 I get 60 Mbps, so Windows 10 does have issues with internet. upload speeds are the same, about 12Mbps for both 10 and 7
if I remember correctly, win8.x had issues when it first came out, with net speeds. I think it was cleared up shortly after release.
yup... I imagine so, but they say Windows 10 will always be getting fixed, because it'll be the last version. An o.s. with never ending patches!
