    Hi,

    It's a bit off topic but I just want to share about the hacked HPBQ116.exe also work on Compaq CQ42-281TX.

    This is the process those I did.

    1. change OS SKU to 1
    2. change Win 7 menu to professional edition

    after reboot, the hidden SLIC 2.1 comes without re-flashing BIOS.

    Hi to everyone, I have the same problem, and I used the methods recommended and nothing works, the reason why I want to change the "windows wista" is I already have recovery discs and cannot install it because shows a "Error found: You have set Vista Flag on a Win 7 image, please use EEPROM to set ~OS SKU~ value = 2" error message.

    Actually I have the lastest BIOS Firmware Version [insyde H2 (F.16) on My HP 311 Mini and maybe the EEPROM Tool cannot rewrite over.
