Public Beta on September is not the First Beta

    The Public Beta we are expecting in September will not be the First Beta of Windows 8. The MSDN and TechNet subscribers will get the Beta before that. Here is a quote of what I received in an email from MicroSoft:-
    According to that, I think MSDN and TechNet subscribers will get Beta 1 on July, and the Beta which we will get on September will be Beta 2.

    This doesn't mean anything honestly.
    Microsoft will probably distribute a Windows 8 Beta build on //build, and this build could be downloadable on MSDN/Technet and public beta starts in Nov/Dec.

    Windows 8 RTM (for OEMs.. which will leak) in Q3 2012, Devices and RTM for public in Q4 2012.. probably

    nope you are for leaking beta 2
    you said nothing before beta. so beta 2 , here we come ;)

    How does this say it'll be Beta 2 that we get? All it could mean is they get access to the Public Beta build a week or so before everyone else so the servers don't overload.

    No the 2 betas will be different. All bugs in Beta 1 which will be identified by MSDN and TechNet users will be fixed in Beta 2.
