Yeah ... so far only noticed that while using SWMs with Windows Setup . Got used myself to apply any WIM/ESD/SWM via Win8.1SE usb-pen, no need to bother with stupid Windows Setup routine . And more important no need to build files with hundreds of indices.
In this case it's an AIO with 4 indexes only, the ones that can be obtained from the img file. I called it Windows 8.1 AIO OEM editions
At which stage of the setup the error appears ... when loading the WIM or does it offer any choice after?
Just when setup.exe loads the wim file, actually I get to the edition selection screen, click on any of them and then it shows up, the error notice.
CoreConnectedSingleLanguage doesn't have Retail Channel, only OEM and Volume CoreConnected and ProfessionalStudent have all three
Back in Windows 2000, i used to hold a version that did not require activation, the CD was original and had some INTERNAL ONLY stuff on it...it was wishful thinking to expect Windows 8.1 with Bing to be that too
