The Green Swamp and the Sand Dunes are normal lockscreens and can be found in the /Web/Screens folder. (check Bchat's image on page 2)

Nice to know about the switching between Pictures and Default lockscreens, to make the dynamic ones appear

...with the curved river? That one is local/static...

It becomes default lock screen when you change to the new log-on screen.

It is part of the procedure -> before the dynamic JPGs get downloaded, those static ones (jungle river or dune) are precopied to the locations and used (so for about 2 minutes).

BTW: Do you guys want "portrait" versions (basically lossy cuts) of the above dynamic lockscreen001-007? I have just retrieved them..

These are original MS images from Vista Beta, 7 Beta, 8 Beta to today. I have kept them in the original resolution.
I am using currently 1920x1200 and 1920x1080, but there are several much bigger images or multi-monitor images.
Try (in VM first) and see.

I just got the images below as new default screen lock. I can now fully agree with the dynamic nature of the process as earlier said by Moderate.

    Hmmm...

I seem to have missed the Gold one.
But I got two new lockscreens today a Sliver Spiral and some Jelly Fish.

Sorry can't upload them from here :(
I'll again try when I'm home.

    /edit.
Ooop's forgot to add these.

The dynamism of the default lock screen seems to stem from a point when you install Windows update received from Microsoft.

LOL. I guess that doesn't answer to what I asked. Because in build 10041 must be in another place/folder

Hey, guys, please post the images in original format and condition (so without days-names watermarks), so we can store them:

    :)

As KingD1 asked already, did storage place changed in actual builds? :)
