hello techies, So my story begins one day troubleshooting a problem with black screening on my nice little gaming laptop, the Qosmio. Unfortunately I decided to flash my bios from inside windows using WinPhlash and alas... my adventure to slay the dragon... um... black screen of death... failed. So here's some things to consider: -boots up fine when I take 1 stick (2 gigs) of memory out of a dimm slot. -with two sticks it boots and reboots constantly -the screen is black as night -obviously, the bios is wiped -I've tried using flashing techniques, like holding the Fn+V or B keys, and used Phlash16 with wincris as well as a usb thumb drive and a CD/DVD drive. No luck. (havent used a floppy yet...) -turns on... lights and everything... keeps running with the one stick of memory. black screen as i mentioned before. I'm not ready to give up on this expensive laptop... Can anyone please help me or direct me to a qosmio thread? I really dont want to throw out my paperweight... just yet... also on another note Toshiba CS is totally useless... they asked me if I wanted to repair it out of warranty for 450, even after I told them that THEIR software had done this. NTY.
