Running Windows 7 x64, it keeps giving me access denied (with UAC and without). I even took ownership of vpc.exe and system32 folder. Can you describe how to do this?

    Thanks.

Never mind. I got it to work. Just in case anyone experienced the same problem.. here's what you need to do:

    1. Run cmd as Administrator
    2. Type: takeown /f %windir%\System32\vpc.exe
    3. Type: cacls %windir%\System32\vpc.exe /G %username%:F
    4. Now you can copy over the new vpc.exe.

I have a 64 Bit Win 7 Ultimate host running on a Bios modded pc. Downloaded the Microsoft Virtual PC, changed the VPC.EXE with the Slic 2.1 modded file listed above.

Created a Win 7 32 Bit OS Virtual Machine. Works great. Shows activated after I applied the certifcate and entered the Key inside the Virtual Machine.

Now I am also trying to create a 64 Bit Win 7 Virtual Machine and as soon as the OS Setup Starts, I get the error that it is not possible as I am trying to install a 64 Bit OS on a 32 Bit only capable machine. What is this????

Is it not possible or I am doing something wrong???

    Thx

Yeah Sux. Although I have the MS Virtual PC (the one that comes with Win 7) and not VPC 2007, looks like the same friggin issue.

Will Virtual Box or VMWare support it??

    Thx

x64 is not a problem on Vmware, as long as your processor support Virtualization & you have the option to turn it ON in BIOS
