Question about changed bios...

    I have an Asus P5N-E SLI board... The bios was modded with SLIC 2.0 and I'm using it since vista rtm...

    Now I modded the bios with andy tool with SLIC 2.1 but windows VISTA refuse to activate :confused: Im not able to modify the vista key, it gave me an error...

    I have to do a clean install of windows vista after modding bios for slic 2.1?

    I use the everest and all the bios tables are patched. I use DELL 2.1 slic.

    I still have windows VISTA .... but with the new bios slic 2.1 it refuse to activate :(

    1) bad bios modded ??

    2) windows vista need clean install ??

    In Everest all ACPI tables are patched

    I don't understand :(

    I hope you did not modify an existing modified bios, did you?

    I modify a clean asus bios with andy tool.

    Even with your modded bios windows vista refuse to activate...

    pingu,

    Yes, I install that key and dell cert... vista don't activate.

    If I flash the old 2.0 bios when I reboot vista is activated :eek: really strange....
