I have to get a motherboard replaced since it went out after about six months. So, I'll try to get an RMA and have it shipped back.

My question is, is the modded BIOS going to jeopardize that in some way? It's not booting up at all so I can't flash it back, but I wonder if they will detect the "new" BIOS, consider it an unauthorized modification, and refuse the fix/replacement. Has that happened to anyone here?

Bios flashing is always dodgy even with official updates thats why manufacturers allways say do at your own risk. They probably wont even check if it don't post they will replace bios chip if possible.
