Question: Disable Full Row Selection in Win7

    Nope. It can't be done through registry.
    Surely there must be a way, but nobody's come up with the solution yet.
    Probably some hacking of files can resolve this, but it hasn't been done yet.

    It certaily works, but the vbs from the comments is a bit better I think

    Still can not understand why to do it (full row "looks" nicer)

    Yes, it works. Just tried the .reg file.
    Makes drag and drop a little bit easier.
    I use single click so don't have that .txt file side effect.:)
