Is there a way to tell if RAM is new and not been used since it was "opened and didn't know I couldn't reseal it" ?

    thx

Marks on the contacts? If you can't reseal it I'd say that would be a dead giveaway the package has been opened. As dirt cheap as RAM is, just keep it or sell maybe.

A house is not cheap, a Lexus is not cheap, a Sea Ray boat and trailer is not cheap .... RAM is cheap.

I guess it all depends on your frame of reference. To me RAM is dirt cheap ... all of it. At 2x or 3x the current price all of it is still dirt cheap.

Maybe not the absolute highest quality or fastest RAM, but newegg.com has G-Skill (2x1GB) for less than $40US. That's an astounding low price getting into the pocket change territory. But still, if it were 10x that price, considering the lifetime warranty they all pretty much have it's still cheap to me.

Like you said too in a way, it all depends on your frame of reference.
