    I currently have 2x1GB 533MHz C4 RAM. Would I see any real performance improvement if I upgraded to 4x1GB 800MHz C4 RAM?

My mobo's Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe. I'm running AMD 64 X2 4200+ so does that mean I have 1000MHz FSB (=HyperTransport) and I can fully utilize the RAM speed?

OFC I'll be running x64 Vista if I'll upgrade. Oh and I've heard that using 4x1 (4 sticks) RAM-configuration instead of 2x2 puts more load on northbridge -> more heat. This true?

If you're not going to overclock your CPU, upgrading the RAM only you won't have a performance boost.
