Greetings. I hope you all have a good Xmas and 2013 is a great year for you.

Just recently I have had trouble with my computer not starting at random times. about 0ne in 6 it would start OK if I heard the single beep. No beep Just a black screen. So would do a hard reset.

About 1 in 30 it would get to windows Logo then restart on its own sometimes 3 times.

So I removed the 2 sticks of ram (total 2 gigs). gave the contacts a good clean with Carbon Tetrochloride (a very good degreasing compound which leaves no residue.)

swapped the ram in their slots and replaced them.

I have started my computer about 30 times since and all is sweet.

If you have any thoughts about this I would love to see them, in words.

    regards from

    Mikeee.

Check the cooler on the processor and change the cooling paste. ;)
