    There is a program called Advanced RAR Repair. You can try it. It creates a copy of the original rar, but without password.

    edFrankly speak, the brute force attack is a time-consuming way,but if you know something about your rar password ,the status will be improved significantly.

    RAR Password Unlocker provides three attack options: brute-forec attack, brute-force with mask attack and dictionary attack.
    If you know your rar password length or some characters in your password , the brute-force with mask attack will be your best choose and the password recovery time can be shortened remarkably.

    If you know your rar password is special numbers , letters or festival etc, the dictionary attack is better for you and you can offer a dictionary done by yourself.

    Of course ,the password recovery speed is related to individual computer ,such as multi-core CPUs and SSE

    Out of curiosity, I have been interested in the past, to see if a password protected RAR file could be quickly opened.

    The results of testing many so-called Rar Password Recovery programs was dismal, unless you could give the application pretty much all of the password to begin with.

    However, the paid for version of "Advanced RAR Repair" can extract the files from many (but not all) password protected RAR files within seconds... it does not show the password, it extracts the files contained in the RAR file to a folder.
