I would like to first thank timersurfer for your work. I have been using it for Office activation since IORRT.

I actually wanted to try out the latest Rearm Wizard on my Windows 8.1 machine and was prompt that it is not supported, IIRC the previous version(Trilogy/Duality) of the project worked fine while I was running Windows 8 with Office 2010. Is rearming Office 2013 not supported in Windows 8 or is it just not tested yet?

I also noticed that Office 2010 is no longer supported in Rearm Wizard, would be nice if the links for the older versions are provided for folks looking for a rearm solution for Office 2010.

    Cheers!

    1. Rearm Wizard has error checking so if one tries to install IR7/IORRT on W8 it will give msg that is not supported

    2. On 1st post are all 9 links to past threads and possible downloads such as Trilogy 4.2 which supports W7, 2010, Adobe CS5.5 hence trilogy on W7 still supports 2010

W8 has whole different independent activation regarding W8/2013 so rearm concept is unavailable

I'm planning on installing Windows Home Server 2011 for the first time. I've never used any sort of rearm utility before. Is Rearm Wizard the best tool to keep WHS2011 in trial mode? Or should I be using a previous tool like Trilogy?

I want to run the server headless and with as little maintenance as possible. I read that Rearm Wizard would take care of the 30-day activation prompts. But it sounded like there would also be a separate 180-day prompt that might not be handled automatically. Would I need to do anything on the server every 180 days? And if there is a 180 day prompt, and I miss it, would the server stop functioning?

Thanks for the help! I've already learned so much from these threads, but it's a little overwhelming!

Hi HL, I think all the solutions here support WHS11 but I'm not certain. I didn't support servers in Rearm wizard but trilogy does I believe?!

Basically with Rearm wizard I made everything work automatically and at 180 day free trial end an easy reinstall is provided by just clicking yes message box

I don't know a lot about servers so maybe someone else can answer your specific questions

    Have a nice day :)

Yea the only real problem that IR7 has is getting the IR7.bat in the local or hidden drive to run because RE switches local drive letters :)

It obvious in that your other system installed perfectly, perhaps you could try to run the cmd as admin

    Code:
    scannow /sfc
If there is problem with .vbs like past posts suggest then it will repair those system files and/or you can do repair install which is basically upgrading but with same version so OS is refreshed while personal files are kept intact

Hope that helps and thanks for the indepth testing and help :worthy:

    additional info

This problem is puzzling for sure. Like I mentioned in my first message, both of these are new installs and are fully patched. I ran the commands as admin as I always run this type of stuff as admin. I'd already ran a sfc/scannow and verified that the vb stuff was properly operational before I posted my first messge. In short, everything checks out on both systems. The only difference was that on one of the systems I had installed the Rearm Wizard Phase 1 code previously.

Since I'm an IT guy, I'm going to test a bit more using VM's. I'll spin up a fresh VM of Windows 7 Pro, fully patch it, install the RW Phase 1 code, then uninstall it and install the current Rearm Wizard code to see if I can duplicate the issue.

I'll keep you posted as to what I find.

What do you mean by patch ...lol

The codes on Phase 1 aren't really different just that RW final runs silent except for personalization restore

    Thanks for testing though :D

i'm probably asking a stupid question but is rearm wizard considered legal? like when a computer security guy who checks computers, but only if there is no illegal software on it, would someone like that see this as illegal?

You don't license the system properly (as in the Microsoft sense). So what do you think? :p

Otherwise, technically, Trial is considered Genuine (if that is what you mean).

Masterdisaster said once that Rearm Wizard breaks no MS license agreements...

Given that Rearm Wizard just sets ups normal windows components and for lack of better word once every 6 months does a WPA key "repair install" to reset the rearms to 5 + 30 days

One could easily do W7 actual repair install to refresh the rearms but RW makes it easier and takes a couple minutes to install hence again reset rearms to 5 + 30 days

But setting up tasks or using any commands to facilitate W7 free trial usage that MS made available is in my humble opinion totally fine

    Note:

The rearm concept via my development has been pushed as far as it can given it does not modify any system files nor does it emulate activation hence it's pretty cool given the circumstances

It's not against any terms to reset the period (gray zone), only manipulate, inject, hook or something like this is against the agreement.

problem was somwhere on my system

Patch/patched/updated means all available updates, patches, and fixes from Microsoft are installed.

I tested with new Win7pro VM's and installed the phase 1 followed by current rearm wizard code and everything works as it should. No problems. So something is out of sorts on the system that I had problem with, but it's not any of your code.

Thanks again for your time and efforts on this project. :worthy:

The registry keys it has to work on to completely reset the Rearms are locked in normal Windows operation, including Safe Mode. The answer is therefore No.
