I do torrents, I do not get the luxury of blocking all ports and leaving only 80 open. If you are limiting your traffic to only 80 you must have a boring pc.
At this point my primary workstation is back to 7 Pro, and my secondary and HTPC will be soon as well. IMHO it's not worth the hassle of "fixing" 10 to make it like 7, just like it wasn't worth "fixing" 8 & 8.1 either. I can live without DX12. I'd rather keep a mindful eye over updates and babysit them more than I already do [in 7], rather than having to sacrifice functionality in the interest of more privacy, relying on apps and tweaks to fix what MS broke - babysitting that repeatedly, making sure they don't undo what I've done [in 10]. For the last year or two (since I started running SSH/FTP/VNC servers in 7 and don't want my system rebooting every Tuesday for updates), I've been on "Notify me of updates but don't download or install" anyway, so the idea's not exactly new; I just have to get used to actually looking at the KB's and avoiding the questionable ones. I liked 10, I enjoyed the faster boot and the overall look. However I'm not allowing those pros (and the DX12 promise) to cause me to concede the control MS wants me to do in order to have the pros of 10. Maybe there will be a 10.1, or a 180 turnaround with these hackneyed ideas they've pushed on sysadmins and "pro" users - we can hope, at least. I'm not holding my breath though...pandora has long been released from her box, and I don't think Redmond is going to try to cram her back in.
Diag Track doesn't matter, it only shows that they can: 1. Silently install spyware services as "feature updates". 2. Run them through svchost to bypass firewalls. Thanks to Windows 10, now you can't actually "not agree" to install things like this, and you don't even have the right to know that it's being installed.
Vista at first was really slow Tho all protection contect I rememer using server 2008 beta its was great MS returning to thier old mistakes Thx god for creating server However moving to linux is brave and i should also I barely playing games office i wont notice it much
im still with 2016 ms making new features but then cut them off in the final version so its not worth the upgrade and also doesn't fixs old bugs like blurry fonts in 2016 so why they wont do it again in next version thats why im staying put
