Hello, I have an acer aspire 5920, currently with vista. it also came with two invisible partition (recovery stuff?). I'd like to completely clean it (i.e. remove the hidden partitions and vista), update the bios (to slic 2.1) and install 7. what is the order i should follow? first clean the partitions and then update the bios? or the other way around? moreover, can anyone reccommend an easy way to wipe all the partitions? first I would find the correct bios mod that has Slic 2.1 in there and load that. after that Boot into Vista and check if you can see the Slic 2.1 in the Bios with some tools that are floating around here. When you boot up from the Win7 DVD you should be able to see the hidden partitions and able to delete them. good luck!!
