I hav a hp dv4 3016tx.im having trouble with recovery disc creation. The process works fine till the burning of the first dvd, but then it fails during the verification part. Could it be bcoz of the quality of the dvd I used? like it was not branded. pls help.
Could be because of the quality of the media (as you mentioned). But most likely a recording issue. What speed did you burn the disc at? What recording software do you use (or is it an available option within the Recovery Sofware?). Do you have an option to just create the DVD ISOs and then use a 3rd party tool to record them? Is yes, do that and then use something like UltraISO to burn the discs at a slow speed (i.e. 4x)... p.s. and btw, welcome to MDL
It happened to me too. buy good quality dvds and you are all set. you can use either 3 regular dvds or 2 double layer dvds.
