Does any one know if it's possible to keep or go back to the default Aero theme?

I don't like the new one.

 

After redpill 1.401 everythign worked fine except Task manager was returned to the old one. Also on the FIRST restart it got stuck, but it dosent seem to be happening again. After i turned off the computer manually everything seems working fine (restarting and shutdown work) only thing is the task manager.

 

U should re do (enable-disable RP) several times until it works.

 

Unfortunately Redpill wont disable. I press "Disable RedPill", all of the writing in the program goes grey, and then it goes right back to being enable.

 

Can someone send me their slc.dll? Redpill completely broke it. It claims slc.dll was already patched, then when I tried to 'unpatch' it, the program crashed and now whenever I open redpill_enabler it comes up with an unhandled exception error. "unable to load DLL 'slc'. A dynamic link library (DLL) intialization routine failed. (Exception from HRESULT

 

1.4.0.1 is ok, but the white border bug is back in aero lite is back, I thought that was already fixed in earlier versions?

 

Back to 7 at the moment. :\

Got me a bunch of application errors after I did install my antivirus choice. What a pity.

I tried avast 6 & mse 2 after a fresh install. have absolutely no freakin' clue at all why this happened.

 

asfaltas which theme do you use for win8 TO HAVE SO BIG CLOCK ???

On Topic: So the new redpill is not working at all on my installation. I disabled the previous redpill i had (1.39 i believe) which was working fine and then i enabled the new RedPill 1.401 (i never tried 1.4). Upon opening i enabled RedPill and checked every single tick and applied it. Everything seemed to work, but upon reopening of the program the ticks of New task manager, the new Ribbon Bar, and Fix twinui.dll where all unticked so thought maybe it would be applied after a restart.

I tried restarting Windows 8 but it got stuck, stayed at "restarting" for about 20 minutes so i manually shut it off and back on. Maybe this was my mistake. When i turned the computer back on none of the Extras work and Redpill cannot be disabled.

So basically my RedPill is not working and it cannot be disabled. Anyone else having the same problem?

 

Got same issue, and tried restore, ran RP again and everything works just fine now.

 

same here it's not working and can't open explorer and can't restart or do anything , then I used sfc /scannow and everything working but on the old redpill

Bah now that I fixed my ribbon the task manager has reverted back to the original. Oh well.

 

You guys fiddle around with system files too much. I've been running this install for a week now trying all sorts of programs. I think it was back with v1.3.5.1 Everything works as it's supposed to. The one thing I didn't do is use UTR, maybe that's the problem?

same here, all works properly with every version of redpill, the last one v1.0.4.1 works as best as others, no problem at programs(exept games, i did not tryed), my tests done on two computers......
The only problem with dual boot, maybe redpill breaks my 7 activation, and my video graphics driver(not sure it is a redpill issue, but happened after applying and then booting into 7 installation.....

Of course i never tried UTR, until we have alpha/beta releases, the Microsoft Confidential text is due to be there.....(just my opinion...)

Maybe UTR mess system files to remove text..... and the proof can be that neither me and Reel have issues or problems....
