Did you read the thread? It do not activate your Windows 8, and it's destroys software like Office. So if you don't like to reinstall your Win8 installation, do not use this method.

Have you tried the APP store? After you did this change? Please report back if it's working, maybe with a screenshot?

I'm not on Win8 right now, but ask someone here to codewrap the entries removed and you can copy and paste it into a .reg file and apply it. I'm sure someone here will help you :flag:

Do the trick and go in the bios and move the time up 60 days and see if it works.

Thanks for that information. I wasn't gonna try it. I'm using a MAK key i found. And also Windows 8 has an automatic registry repairer.

i like the fact that you actually read the title up until "windows 8" .....clearly says "Entreprise" . ...why are you trying on pro?

And you really think that makes a difference the deleted registry key is the same, I already said this would not work in post 5 of this thread but no point some people won't listen.

The Windows Registry is the same in All Versions of Windows 8 except Windows RT. Each higher version has a little bit more keys.

I just made a Virtual Machine, I kept it Offline after the install and deleted that registry key after 1st boot

Rebooted and it is still unactivated and will not allow customisation

I can confirm that this does in fact result in "Product ID: Not Available" with Win8 Pro in VMWare, but this can also be accomplished by simply running this command

    slmgr /upk

so it probably doesn't really mean anything
