I have found that it is VERY IMPORTANT to ensure you use the correct version of the beta, either x86 or x64. x86 beta WILL ONLY ACTIVATE x86 RTM. x64 beta WILL ONLY ACTIVATE x64 RTM. (yes, I've now got x64 to activate, by using the tokens.dat and pkconfig files from the x64 beta2)
Let us know if it worked, but if it doesn't, it might be because you did the Registry clean. I'm not saying that there aren't cases where it might be needed, but it shouldn't be needed, and that's the one thing in the steps that you mentioned that was unusual relative to almost everyone here. The only other thing I'll mention is to be sure to use the same key in the script as you did to activate Beta 2. Using one of the well-worn public Beta 2 keys (e.g. CT443) is fine, even preferable.
hey guys, activated my x64 office today with x64 beta 2 key & token How long will it stay activated? - As long as the beta test? - And will it expire in ...let's say 30 days? thanks, gaga
Well you are correct that a registry clean should not be needed, however, if you have completely removed Office from your system, then why is the registry key: "OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform" remaining after the uninstall? When i deleted that key after the uninstall of 4514, rebooted then installed 4734, ran the script and it worked. This was even so with the 4514 being x86 and 4734 is x64.
I've not investigated them yet. Are they still on separate licenses or now "officially" part of an Office suite?
Sorry but dont work, i repeat your instructions but nothing.... unistall all, clean registry whit Reg Organizer, install beta 2 x64 (749 mb) and activated, save the 2 files and unistall, clean again whit Reg Optimizer, install wzor volume x64 and run script. The result is the same= nag screen "please insert code 25... I dont know.... Can you send me PM whit your personal instructions? Tx Alex
looking back at Windows 7 and reading this I am a little skeptical that it's final. I am reading that they are still working on final and today happens to be 4740. This, to me, doesn't necessarily mean 4740 is final, could be one or two before that... guess we'll find out. thanks for the heads up.
Everyone in this thread is using the corp version because the retail one requires a key during installation.
Activation has been successful for me - BUT - if you advance your PC clock to November 2010, it says, "beta activation has expired."" So, by activating with token.dat & pkeyconfig-office.xrm-ms from thwe BETA version, uninstalling it and installing the Corporate version, (and runing script, etc... etc) it is not fool-proof and still knows it was originated from the BETA class. Another method will have to be found.
