I have a rental property that has a Broadband WiFi router in it but no PC. Guests staying there can use the internet for free...

But ..... Here's the question - Is there any way I can "kind of" login to check or monitor if the router is working OK? You know how it is - sometimes routers disconnect and so I would like to know so I can nip round and reboot it or get the guests to do it. It has a dynamic IP address so when restarted it would have a new IP address?

    Is this possible?

Most routers offer remote access, ideally with SSL (Like DDWRT firmware). Some routers have built in watchdog routines (DDWRT) and your final option would be via a VPN to the LAN the router is on. You use a dynamic domain name client like tzo, again most routers support this today and the dynamic domain name works well if the router is a VPN endpoint on a dynamic address broadband to allow VPN service.
