Almost one year in the last 2 pages and have not solution yet to it. I have now Windows 8.1 Enterprise and 2 watermarks, one says: "Activate Windows-Go to PC Settings to activate windows" and the other watermark says: "Windows Enterprise 8.1, Build 96000". I got rid off the second watermark with WPC editor 1.0.1.0. But the first watermark the one that says "Activate windows .... .. " is still there.
The reason being is that the activation is directly tied with the licensing of the machine so that little watermark... Ya it isn't going anywhere unless you license the OS lol
I have a Windows 8 Pro, legal and with the product ID in one computer, but on this one I have Windows 8.1 Enterprise (final version) and not license product ID. Guess I'll have to wait for a good activator for this version. I don't know if after 1 month of installed (Windows 8.1 Enterprise final) will stop working? or just the watermark keeps in there ? just wondering.
Does anyone think I could 'rearm' windows 8.1 enterprise (final), I have 1000 "Windows and SKU rearms" according to slmgr /dlv (dli)... ? and if yes, what would be the command.
Since Windows 8 and up doesn't have a grace period Rearm is pretty useless for that. It's only good for resetting the licenses in preparation for actual activation.
so the way to go is either getting a m.s license/rtm product id or waiting for a hack to 8.1 enterprise 64bit. I have read that there are some files that need to be replaced with, like basebrd.dll.mui and shell32.dll.mui .. they have already done this for x86 but not for x64bit.
I think that window can be closed or hidden via WM_CLOSE or SW_HIDE or some WM_USER+x. At least it worked in beta versions.
Seems like I DO have good luck, now my Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 Bit is now activated via KMS (kmspico). it was just matter of time.
Hello: I have read the whole thread , too many options and a bit old. I have windows 8 underground , want to quit both watermarks. Im not sure if I want to activate via KMS. I want just quit the watermark. Can method is still working ? Thanks in advance
Why even use a dodgy version of W8/8.1, when you can get a good one from here? You will have significantly fewer problems.
Mr. Tito that will only lead to more Question? so many to chose from and they always want the BEST...
