I haven't got a Windows RT device to test on, nor have I ever used or even seen Windows RT. I'm not sure what the folder structure is on RT. Do you at least see any "1 files copied" when you run the removal script? If not, the folder structure is probably totally different than regular Windows 8. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
I would love to do so. I'm sure you guys hate ads as much as I do. Just wish I had an RT device to test on.
There was an update yesterday for Microsoft Solitaire Collection, and the adds are back, they have changed something because the script doesn't work on it now.
How in the heck do I FIX my broken Apps for 8.1? - Wds+C >> Start >> down arrow to show all apps - Brings up Apps view screen - Shows Error under all my apps..what the !@#! - And any app I click on says "This app can't be open" Any idea why I am having this issue with 8.1? Open to suggestions..DP
If you would have read the instructions on the first page, it specifically says DO NOT USE ON 8.1 because it will break apps. You have to reinstall all of your apps now.
The way the script is written it's normal to see a "cannot find path specified" if you don't have every app installed that I patched ads for. Also if the app changed its ads directory in an update. I've been trying to find that pesky one for Solitaire but like I told you in PM, the script runs fine for me and seems to remove ads in that app. I'm really not sure how much more I can do since it's not an issue for my copy of Windows.
Thank You for trying. If I leave it enabled it messes up several apps, and they no longer work for me, I have to uninstall them, and reinstall them to get them to work again.
Thanks, 1337chaos, for all the work you have done trying to keep up with this. Are you by any chance working on a version that will work with the latest updates (especially Microsoft Solitaire Collection!) and Windows 8.1?
Doenst work for me: It says: Syntax error: 'y' cant be used for option '/d' It also says that no Data habe been processed. What does that mean? Thanks for the help Edit: I have used both "run as admin" an "normal" mode
failed windows 8.1 A option appears to be SUCCESS on whole apps folder B option access denied on about a dozen files then other text appears but window closes before being able to read any.
