Have a laptop with a password on the BIOS but we can't access it due to a mistyped pasword that no one can remember, DUH!! It's an Ergo branded Asus T12EG with an AMI BIOS and BIOS version 201T2. Have tried flashing a BIOS from another Vista 621 we have but amiflash/afudos fail at the programming stage, probably Ergo have protected the BIOS from flashing? Have disconnected the CMOS battery which has not helped so I suspect the password is stored in EPROM or EEPROM? Anyone have any advice on clearing the BIOS password or reflashing the BIOS I've saved from the other laptop if that will remove the password?
