Remove Build 7955 Watermark

that's weird!!! i did the same thing,but i never got the pop-ups

I could really use a responce to needing a guide on where to replace the shell32.dll.mui and how to use the mui cache rebuild tool thanx please anyone who can help cant stand this huge watermark

 

Personally I don't see any point in removing the watermark at all. It's not even at BETA state so it's pretty pointless in my opinion.

i understand the cache part but in en-US i dont see a shell32.dll.mui to replace with this one

 

windows/system32/en-us not windows/en-us took me awhile to figure that out

 

That did the trick....almost! anybody left with a few numbers and letters in the bottom right after doing that? rest of the watermark is gone lol!

 

thank you very much. OP should update with clear instructions. i do have a few numbers left over as the watermark but i can deal with that. not so much an eye sore anymore.

I'm gonna save the watermark for future use, i like being one of the chosen few to have it and don't notice it so much since i'm usually surfing the net when i'm close to pc!

That is odd. What version are you using? I am using the Torko leaked 7955 build. Maybe you are using the ba leaked build if there is a difference lol. I do know however that there is code in the Explorer that does this according a guy I know on the internet.

 

Same thing happened to me like at jayblok's. Got me the sCooBy^-touched ISO. Maybe that's the keynote about this. ;]

Going to do a clean install w/ WZor's ISO and check back & let you know.

Replaced shell32.dll.mui after owning it then ran the patc to rebuild, done, watermarks removed!

Strange though, still have some watermar, just small it says .a1b621 and goes on for about 16 characters total, weird. bottom right above the tollbar.
