My Wu sometimes shows and unknown error and I need to restart for see it running fine again. If I install the new WU client I'll get Windows 10 garbage in my pc?

    Thanks!

This update doesn't mention those "keywords", so yes, I'd take it (at it's word) as safe. At least until:

No, I didn't know they were cumulative because I don't remember seeing any of them mention being so.
If that's the case, no, it's not safe.

So, what now then? Ignore all future updates no matter what they say?

I put my list together as a source of info, not a measuring stick; that's why I keep saying no warranty implied, YMMV.

I'm not intentionally making judgment calls for people on what they should do with their own machines.

It's just another WU client, nothing more sneaky or less safely, it's likely has improvements
enable the upgrade-block registry/GPO setting, and it would act like any update

No one here is going to give you advise on what to do on your computer. All anyone is going to do is give you the knowledge and make suggestions. The final decision is up to you.

The KB3135445 update is suppose to be related to WU and it is related to Win10. Is it harmless for Win7, who really knows? M$ does not give enough info for someone to say yea or nay!!

So you have to decide. Are you having trouble getting updates?? If so you may want to try and install it and see what happens. If your not having trouble then you may not want to take a chance. Anyway it can be unistalled if you try it.

Good luck avoiding KB3135445 on patch tuesday when it become 'important', and the current important one 'KB3112343' get superseded :p
this had been going on since months, and yet, each month users still get surprised :D

btw, it's released it for Server and Embedded editions (which are not eligible for upgrade), so the update is not just for 'Upgrade' matters

Good point, and exactly why I think disabling updates completely is a better idea than leaving updates on and unchecking the option to "install optional updates".

Sure, go right ahead. You be the MDL guinea pig. :laie:
Have you not read the last page worth of posts since the last time you asked that question? I think the answer was covered already. :31:

Hey zero. Why do the uninstalled updates keep on reappearing? Is there a way to hide them? I've tried hiding via Windows Update but they still show up.

    Some KB's are reappearing in your new updates list because;
Microsoft has been releasing new versions of your 'hidden updates', specifically KB3035583, along with several other Windows 10 related KB's.
Microsoft is now marking these as 'important updates', forcing
them to be reinstalled by default, unless you again select to 'hide update'.
    Keep your WU settings to
"Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" to monitor them before any update is installed.
Right click them in your windows 'New updates are available' list and yes, yet again and again! we must select 'hide update' to avoid their 10 crapware..
    :)

Have you tried DL the specific KB files and installing manually (outside of WU)?
Have you tried using a 3rd party app (such as AutoPatcher or the Simplix Pack) to install the updates?

I'd try both methods if you haven't already.
