is there any of new updates which I should avoid to install?? I mean, like KB2952664, which I read on this forum is some telemetry controller.

I do not have modern CPU so there is no problem with Win updates.

setting up a new notebook here for my grandpa, and i swear i turned the updates off, after installing MSE and getting the new definitions there then tunrning the machine off after that, today i start it up and he installs all sorts of win updates lmao

either i had one beer too much the night or there was some nasty stuff going on, either way this thread is awesome keep it up

    ps
funny how one needs to put the kb in the search too not just some numbers for it to find the update, surely they do this on purpose, or is the windows search so crappy in general?!

    To Green Hill,

Thanks for the link. Could be very useful to set Win 7 as host machine and use VMWare player to run Linux for all Internet activity! Going to give it a go.

WOW, there are many of them. If someone installed some of these, or if some of them is included in monthly rollup, does scheduled blocking script still keep telemetry disabled?

And why Nvidia drivers should be problem?

I will research it immediately, and hopefully disable it.

I have Telemetry blocking script (described in another thread under Windows7, by user abbodi1406) enabled. Does it take care of Nvidia telemetry also (I will try to disable it now, but anyway I would like to know, because I never know this before until I read here. so tnx much ;) ) ??

Basically it is easy to do it:
    1. Tap on the Windows-key on your keyboard, type services.msc, and hit the Enter-key. This should open the list of installed Services of the local PC.
    2. Locate the service Nvidia Telemetry Container, and double-click on it.
    3. Click on the stop button to stop the service from running.
    4. Select disabled as the startup type.
    5. Click ok to complete the process.
