Updated first post with registry entries to disable GWX and OS upgrade, and commands to delete downloaded updates cache and Windows 10 download folder.

I understand why someone would want to remove these updates, but on all of the knowledge pages, none of these are supposed to do anything at all unless you're enrolled in CEIP. Do the updates open the communication lines right away or something and transmit stuff regardless?

    Win7 auto restoring telemetry updates

is any 1 else facing problem that manually hidden updated ( all from OP's 1st post")
"auto restoring " OR pushing

    story

    i just moved from w10P to win7ultiwithDloader

1st attempt : on install all updated except telemetry(manually hidden 1 by 1) around 205~215 imp and 3 optional

then 40 updates failed so i restarted PC tried again

2nd attempt : i noted 3 update was hidden got restored KB3075851 ,KB3083324,KB3083324i again hide them installed else and also read some new KB's M$ articles all went smooth

now : just searched for updates got defender definition update and 2 hidden telemetry update AUTO RESTORED :mad:KB2952664 and NEW JUST PUBLISHED YESTERDAY KB3083710 (google for article)

so this update is nasty updates that we can't even GET AWAY with hide them on FRESHLY INSTALLED 2 days old win7

    KB2952664

    KB3075851

    KB3083324

    NEWLY
    superseded KB3083710 imo Article ID: 3083710 - Last Review: 10/06/2015 16:36:00 - Revision: 1.0

KB3035583 appeared once again in my "Important Updates" today. So I hid it again. Funny how MS seems to think they know what is best for me. I hope the class action suit becomes a major problem for MS and they have to eat this monster they created.

The updates do not unhide themselves. It's just that MS releases new versions of those updates. The new versions aren't hidden, and the old versions vanish from Hidden Updates.

You will see versions only in the package names, but they don't show on the WU page.

(Revisiting the patches again, as I linked)
On 1 of my machines, KB3035583 was back in the "Important" screen by itself, and 2 others were in the Optional screen as "Recommended" - KB2977759 & KB3083710.
On my primary machine, KB3035583, KB2977759 & KB3083710 were all under Optional, all "Recommended".

KB3035583 was hidden on both machines prior to this re-re-re-release.

It's not the first CPU microcode update, and i don't think it will be the last
being it's causing issues for some, doesn't mean it's a global bad update

and i wonder, how a Win7/8.1 update affect Win10 OS?
