    Hello Yen,

I'd like to request a BIOS mod to whitelist an Intel Centrino 6230 Wifi/Bluetooth card on an Alienware X51 with AMI Aptio BIOS. Is this possible here?
If so, I'll post my info, if not, please let me know where I could find some help.

    No BIOSCODx.ROM (1-8) files.

    Hi,

I have a Lenovo X220 and which I want to add some 3rd party WLAN cards to. I have read the fantastic if over whelming information on this website and I think I have the process down. However I am running into an issue running andy's tool. When I hit Go after choosing the BIOS, Manufacturer, RW file and appropriate options I do not get any files named BIOSCODx.ROM (1-8) in my dump directory and so can't run Zender's patch script. Can some one tell me why I am not getting these files?

    -Manufacturer:Lenovo
    -Motherboard Model:ThinkPad ThinkPad T61 (6458-CTO)
    -Bios revision: Middleton's patched (2.29/1.08(EC))
    -Bios Type: Phoenix (Lenovo)

I flashed my T61(6458-CTO) with patched 2.29/1.08 BIOS and nearly everything works fine, except that i must tape my Ericsson F3507g pin 20 down, to get it recognized under misc. opsystems(Ubuntu 11.10, win7x64). HW switch does not works with it(altrough it works with my Intel Wifi-Link 1000 in wlan slot, that's originally not on the "factory whitelist").
Searched throu' the internet, i found some similar problems(another user with a Gobi2000 card), looks like the bios skips the whitelist checks, but still disables the WWAN unathorized cards(in the WUSB slot too...). Already tried to add the cards VID/PID to bios(into bioscode5.rom, replacing the supported Sierra Wireless 8755), but still no luck. Any ideas? I'll help you with the debugging, if you have one :D
