Hi, has anyone had luck with BIOS Insyde F.29 sp55299.exe mods of any type? It appears to be RSA encrypted. The mod I tested above works as long as you don't try to go into the change the BIOS settings, which is a pretty major limitation.

Thanks for the BIOS with Whitelist. Would you be so kind as to add the SLIC 2.1 support so I can install Windows 7 on my z61p 9452-3NG? Does it matter about 32 or 64 bit versions, as I currently have a 32-bit Lenovo DVD disc but may upgrade to 3GB RAM and Win 7 x64 later. Also does your BIOS mean I could upgrade to SSD hard drives?

Do I need to upgrade my BIOS from LENOVO 7FETA8WW (2.26 ) (5th November 2008) to the official Lenovo v2.27 before using your SLIC + WL BIOS?

Shall I attach the RWE reports here for ACPI and SMBIOS or send via PMmessage? Are these the reports you require or do you need others as well?

    Thanks for your help :)

Not sure if this is the right place, but hopefully someone can help me out. I have a couple Gateway E-475M laptops that I want to upgrade to new WiFi adapters. I tried upgrading one of them and it sort of worked... I can boot into Windows and install the drivers, but the Intel driver dialog says that my WiFi adapter switch is off (it's not -- and Fn+F2 doesn't enable it either). Basically, it looks like the BIOS is allowing the WiFi adapter to be recognized, but the hardware switch isn't working. It might be something in the Intel drivers that could be tweaked to make it work. Thoughts?

EDIT: Nevermind! Figured it out -- the covering pin 20 on the new Ultimate-N 6300 adapter did the trick. Obviously it's now on all the time, but it was never turned off to begin with so no worries there.
