so, after a few days of testing, serg you did everything right, no worries here. thanx a lot. i did not get this to work, but my conclusion is that lenovo and this card are not friends at all. all possible drivers i tried, enabled the card, never worked like it should (maybe the problem is the matic board controllers or mini pcie usb), so this card ar5b195 is to be avoided my advice it is very bad and i think and lenovo in general (after toshiba it is a nightmare experience) , i can see some solution already tested before with an external card i tried some time ago to do the same job. thanx anyway, i reverted my notebook to original config temporary.
Modified bios was flashed successfully ? How do you flashed the mod? add. make a bios backup and upload it (I'll check the flashing results)
It means that the bios image file not found in folder. How do you flashed the modified bios ? Unpack the Ipmark's archive file, go to the "Mod" folder and run "Mod.bat" file as Administrator (as Ipmark wrote)
Hi Serg, Thanks. The mod.bat file does not work because the rom file is named incorrectly. The Pheonix flash utility cannot find it. However I loaded the flash utility directly and browsed to the rom file manually and it worked. Not sure what effect bypassing the lenovo utility has but it worked fine. Intel 512AN working great. Many Thanks for your help.
Hey Serg008, I was wondering if you knew what I could do to fix this? Would you like me to try the bios version the mod is based on? I do know for sure that VT-x worked with the bios I had prior to the mod. The bios option also worked, enabling and disabling it in the bios worked.
Yeah, as I mentioned previously, that does nothing. No setting will actually enable VT-x with the mod I have installed. It did work with the older (non modified) bios I had installed previously.
