    or use the cards from the bios whitelist or try to change the new card's "PCI ID"

    Has someone come up with a SIMPLE program to write to the serial EEPROM of a mini PCI card? That would seem a lot easier than all this BIOS modding IMHOP. If one knows the good cards on the Wlist, then changing them to match the ID's would solve this, right? I know it goes against the grain to be dictated to "by the man" but are there better battles to fight? Dave
