According to ASUS support, this model accepts only Broadcom and Azurewave and "is not compatible with other wifi cards", so I suspected it's a whitelist or something. If I replace current card with the Intel one, everything seems to work fine, but Windows (and even Windows setup) won't boot up - it freezes at "classpnp.sys" (and since it's related to pnp enumeration, I suspect the BIOS blocks the card somehow). If I disable the wifi module and leave the bluetooth enabled, then system starts and I could use the bluetooth, but not the wifi, since it's disabled and not visible in the devices manager. If you have any further questions that may be able to help you to resolve that, just ask. I wanted to replace the wifi, since BCM4313 is 1x1 20MHz card and copying files over the wifi takes forever to complete. I will be very sad if it can't be done
Is there a mod for the Compaq Presario SR5210NX available for download? I have been searching here for a while and can not find even a mention of that model. If there is not a 2.1 mod available, is there somewhere I can ask for help getting one made or instructions as to how to build my own? Thanks!!!
Please ignore my last request, as the download link did work after some tries. Thanks Serg008 for you work!
