    thx TTAV

I will try it tonight. I'm curious though, how did you get it to compile back and not complain about filesize like it did initially when i tried?

OK, I tried this BIOS and had a problem. The flash was successful, and all the advanced settings you showed were already default options. After flash there was a successful boot, so then i tried with no card and once again successful boot, then i tried my Atheros card, and soon as the laptop starts, after BIOS splash screen it says "Press <F1> to setup" and this is as far as the laptop gets into booting, if I press F1 it goes into BIOS options, and this is an endless cycle. I put original card back in for now, any ideas?

When I've been trying to mod a dumped bios from the HP DM4 (a .bin file), most of the time the bios recovery tool fails, and a log file is generated saying that the bios failed it's signature verification check. I presume this signature is in the file with the same name as the bios, but a .sig extension. Does anyone know how to modify or generate a signature file?

I require some help removing the whitelist and flashing my "BIOS".

I don't run or want to run windows (i'm a freetard) so i can't use the tools recommended, unfortunately this also means it can be hard to flash the bootloader, however often there is a workaround (i've done this kind of thing before without the use of windows) such as booting of an usb key or booting up freedos and run a dos flash utility. Well to come to the point, i'd really appreciate foremost the removal of the whitelist function and after that any form of assistance on how to flash the upgrade, such as an image of a working usb flasher or just good ideas on how to do it, cheers!
