    Hello Every One,

I am in unfamiliar territory and I desperately need your help! I have a Toshiba A665 Laptop that came with a BCM4313 Combo WiFi+BT card. Recently I thought of upgrading my router to a dual band one, and to finish of an upgrade to my laptop WiFi card to a BCM4352 Combo WiFi+BT card. Upon hardware install Windows detected my hardware (WiFi portion) and even let me install drivers for the card (Device manager showed "Device is working properly"), but the computer would not let me turn it on, the Enable/Disable touch key that my laptop has, did nothing (My computer does not have a physical switch for this) the led WiFi indicator light never came on. Having googled on this issue I came across a post that instructed to tape out to pin 20 on the underside of my PCIe mini express card to by pass the BIOS check, I did, and the card was now functional. The problem is that even though the WiFi portion is now functional the BT portion hardware is not even recognised in either Windows 7 or Ubuntu 13.10. And this is what I need your help with. So the question is if I go ahead with BIOS mod to do away with whitelist check, will the BT work, additionally does the whitelist contain separate ID's for WiFi and BT? What would you guys suggest I do?

    Thank You
    Hamood

i believe this is an insyde bios, not completely sure though, i tried the software available on this forum to mess around with it, but all this is greek to me so far. i got to the point where it broke it down to modules and from the module i even found where my current cards ID is located but thats as far as i can get, once i got that far and tried again the software(andys tool) kept crashing so i gave up. if anyone here can help i would really appreciate it.
    thanks.

    BIOS Whitlist- WLAN

    Hey,

    i have a HP Elitebook 8540w.
Now i tried to put in the Intel Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth

But when i start the laptop there comes the "error" :105-unsupported wwan device detected

I know there is a whitelist and that's the problem.
But how can i remove the whitlist for my laptop?
I found a remove tool list with a lot of hp laptops but no 8540w.

So can somebody help me to get the whitlist away? Or if there is somewhere a tool in the forum maybe the link will do...

    Thanks :)
