    there is something wrong in bios reconstruction with AndyP tool that affect these new HP bios (finishing by 40), i guess 8530w will be ok

    Thank you for the effort. Would it make it a difference if I sent you the dump file of the bios. I used the bios back up tool from the site and backed up the bios. Would that make a difference?

    I've stopped investigations using a dumped bios, this method may work but it's to much hazardous.

    Ok thank you have you had success with any of the older HP bioses for the dv7 4080us? for example the f.13a. please let me know thank you.

    So I was able to open the bios file for my G72-B66US using the bin file in current folder. I found the error message in the file 91472655-50E0-4D81-9AF6-239E6F431B8C_2_648.ROM. However, now, I cannot find where the whitelist of the wlan cards is kept. My current card is a broadcom card and searching for that ID in the file there does not find it. Any ideas where I can look for the current whitelist.
