thank you, the only way i can solve the problem is to change device/vendor id in the eeprom of the wireless card. do you know how i can do it or do you know someone have successfully reprogrammed the eeprom of intel ac7260?, thanks
no, even the second try doesnt work... saw in the hex code that you added the card id. i tried replace the original wlan id with the new one, same result... actually i dump the bios after every flash to confirm that it was flashed successfull...
Hi, @Serg008 I have an old laptop: Manufacturer Lenovo Bios version 18CN45WW(V2.54) Want to install a new WiFi card. Found post with a similar device. You advised to upgrade Bios first and then to install a modified one. I can't find official 2.55 Bios for B550. Can I skip the upgrading process and install modified 2.55 right off the bat? Looking forward to your reply.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...especially-thinkpad.5866/page-222#post-607163 / updated Download Lenovo G450_G550_B550_18CN46WW_V2.55_Len21_WL.rar and unpack. You will find the official 18CN46WW BIOS in the “Original” folder..
On the 5742 is win10 installed, too. if i boot linux on the e1-772g it wont detect the new card, too. What do you think about an extensioncard for the second mini-pci-e port for an USB-Card with an WIFI AC Dongle? Would it work?
