    Thanks for the feedback.

    Is the Bluetooth device visible - say under another OS like Linux? Also, if possible, can you please give the card a go on another laptop?

    Well when I had the WiFi card, Bluetooth didn't appear in the device management I clicked on view hidden devices and then Bluetooth appeared but still didn't work as I think windows was using settings for my old card. I don't use Linux, though I tried a few years ago too use Ubuntu, but couldn't get to grips with it really. I don't have another laptop, but I decided to return the card to Amazon and get my money back.

    I will be hooking my laptop up to my router via ethernet cable to get the full speed which is 1GB/s. Thanks for all your help :)

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to restore an old nx8220, but the problem is the wifi card.
    There were files from BIOS 18 on the forum, but they're all gone.
    Can someone remove the whitelist from the BIOS of this laptop?

    @Amine Souissi

    Is it a vPro variant of AX210, or regular?

    Sounds like a driver conflict of some sort, IMHO, especially since the card works perfectly if swapped while the PC is on.

    Have you tried booting a live Linux distro to see whether Wi-Fi is working there out of the box?

    @Tito
    it's a regular AX210NGW
    I don't think it's a driver conflict because I tried a fresh install of windows it does not work and the same PC have macOS inside ( Hackintosh ) and it1s not detecting the card but detecting the bluetooth

    @Amine Souissi

    Wait, are you booting Windows via OpenCore?

    Some macOS specific NVRAM entries and/or DSDT patches can often cause symptoms like you described. That's why a clean instance (e.g. a live Linux media) is recommended for troubleshooting.

    @Tito even without opencore I told you I fresh installed windows once and same problem.
    I even tried now a live installation of ubuntu same thing it detects the bluetooth and it's on but wifi does not exist.

    Hello.
    I dont think there's a an explicit setting for DMA mode but will check anyways.
    Meanwhile, could you check the speeds under linux enviroment just to make sure windows isn't the culript.

    I have checked them in Debian 12 (32bit), the same speeds as windows XP, for sure the bios si limiting DMA mode

    I have not found a DMA mode setting.
    I also downloaded a datasheet for IO hub and found out that DMA mode is controlled by multiple registers. Honestly, I'm not going to make it if I put my mind to it. For this reason and because I don't want to experiment on a device that's not mine, I won't try to mod the bios.
