@mark2s There is no known WLAN whitelist in the Dell Precision M4800. What error are you facing with the replacement card?
I am trying to install the : Intel N-7260 wifi card and i always get a warning sign with error 10, in the device manager: devmgmt.msc
"This device cannot start. Try upgrading the device drivers for this device. (Code 10)" If that's the error message, then it has nothing to do with BIOS whitelist. The BIOS did recognize the device, but it's the OS and/or driver having issues with the Wi-Fi functionality. What's the full hardware ID (including the SUBSYS and REV portions) of the card? Also, can you please fire up a live Linux distro and see if that card is working there or not?
This are the card details: advanced n-7260 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42628086&REV_73\4&4D3057A&0&00E2 will try the linux distro this evening, time to get back at home and will let you know.
Can the BIOS whitelist be removed on a ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 AMD to allow installing an SSD in the WWAN slot?
