    so the bios backup tool is worthless;

    my only hope is using the "HP BIOS Update UEFI" tool to create a backup partition which will create an unencrypted bios file ?

    complete your request by uploading the decript bios file from the HP_TOOLS recovery partition of this laptop, have a look in Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current folder, if you find 01444.bin

    note: it is an experimental method and i dont promise a quick result.
