The exact error message is "WIRELESS MODULE NOT SUPPORTED, THE SYSTEM HAS DETECTED A WIRELESS MODULE INSTALLED IN THE SYSTEM IS NOT SUPPORTED, SYSTEM HALTED. PLEASE REMOVE DEVICE AND RESTART. WLAN MODULE ID (702)." I rechecked the IDs and the new one I want to add is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422C&SUBSYS_13018086&REV_35
thank you in advance for any suggestions

These bios are using VEN DEV and SUBSYS as criteria, concerning changing the ID of the card, exept for an hold model (INTEL 2200BG ) i dont know if somebody figures out to do that.

    good luck.

    Whitelist

    Hi TTAV123,

In the original bios update were there any mini pci wireless cards in the whitelist? If you could tell me which card or cards are suitable I could try to get one. Sorry to take up so much of your time.

    Regards.

    Hi TTAV134,

Do you think adding my card to the whitelist in the original bios update would be worth a try?

    Regards.

i dont think so,it is not a whitelist but a decision tree, and i already patched it with no result, i'm sorry i must stop investigations on this bios i have a to do list in late.

going deeply in the code I've notice that there is 2 separates whitelists, i made a patch to append these 2 lists.

Sent you a PM with the link.

Hi, I just got a lenovo x120e. It seems to be using a different bios than the one posted on the ibm driver page. My pc uses 1.08 vs 1.04 from ibm page.

So, I was wondering any one could tell me how to dump my current Bios so you guys would be able to mod that instead, I'm just not sure if there will be compatibility issue differences between the 1.04 and 1.08 bios.

    Manufacturer : Lenovo
Motherboard Model : Thinkpad X120e (Machine type: 0596) -CTO
    Current Bios Revision : 1.08
    Bios Type : Phoenix Bios
Bios Download link for 1.04 1.04 Bios

The card I intend to use is the Intel 6300
This one from amazon: Intel 633

    Oops: Forgot to post pci-id

    Intended Future Card::SmallAwesomeSmiley::SmallAwesomeSmiley:
