there are two way to dump bios : fist via insydeflash program that comes with bios from HP site, you have to edit platform.ini file (all parameters well documented ) to enable "options" button ([option] section set flag=1) when it dupms bios , it dumps old bios and new bios just that size that flash IC needs. second way to dump it via programmer. there is a way to decomress bios it becomes 4mb filesize, but i don't know how to compress it back right. only way for me now to edit bios, when you dump it you need to open it with ezh20 program( the thing is that when this program open the bios it knows how and it does decompression bios into memory and when it save file it compress back bios right way ) then run WinHex and open ram (task ezh20) there you can see uncompressed bios image which you can edit directly in memory and then when you save file in ezh20 it saves with you modifications and then you can flash this moded file with programmer only
Whitelist Request HP Probook 5320m @karl_k with this model there is a high risk of brick the laptop, you must first prepare a recovery USB stick with HPQFLASH, let me know when you will be ready.
HI TTAV134, are you now able to remove whitelist for HP Insyde bios. I have HP G72-B66US which in past you said, it cannot be open. Can I upload the decrypted bios file from HP recover partition and you can either remove the check or add another wireless card id? Thanks,
