Hi Sorry for not getting back sooner, I have only got round to testing this out tonight. I have updated the bios and tested it with a new wifi card and its working perfectly As for the slic 2.1 it looks like i am on slic 2.0 (screen shots attached). Is this affecteded by me currently running vista? Thanks again. Steve. (links removed)
This is working now i switched to my win 7 drive applied the loader and now have slic 2.1 Thanks for your help. Do you still need screen shots? Steve.
Sorry I should be more clear. I am useing the 7 loader in advanced mode to install certificate and key only and not the boot loader.
Hi. I have looked into this some more and found that you are correct and there was a loader present on my win 7 drive and that was giving a false slic 2.1 My original results are correct showing slic 2.0 (tested on legit unmodified vista oem) Just want to add that I really appreciate your help on this. Steve.
Without any loader, you should have a SLIC coming from the BIOS and should be 2.1 for the modded bios. If you found a slic 2.0 you still have a loader.
I have just taken a spare clean hard drive and installed windows 7 from original retail DVD run the bios tool and still have slic 2.0 I don't beleve there is any more I can do to ensure that there is no loader present.
TTAV134, Thank you for all your good work; i do have Q. for you thow... I decided to put back the original OS from lenovo's 3 dvd set. But to my surprise it didn't automatically activate my Win7 like it should. It's telling me only 3 days left to activate... SLIC Toolkit shows presents of Slic 2.1 Windows 7 Loader also complaining that i have incomplete Slic 2.1 but able to activate. I have x120e with 1.11 bios modded by you (white list removed + slic 2.1) is there anything could be done to activate windows from bios?
I think i found source of the problem, but don't know how to fix it... Can you help? The pic i've posted earlier was taken with loader enabled. But after uninstalling it all i got for slic version 0.0 in red... Then i've reapplied ThinkPad_X120e_8fuj04us_1.11_SLIC21_no_whitelist but it didn't made a difference...
