I replaced the Toshiba Realtek RTL8187B (USB\VID_0BDA&PID_8197) Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter B/G mini Wireless Card with an INTEL 4965 A/G/N Minicard. The Intel Card is NOT DETECTED in the Device Manager System normally start, Card not detected. In another laptop card works fine. 1) Is there a chipset limitation that prevent the motherboard to recognize the Intel 4956 A/G/N min card? 2) If there is such a limitation what other N mini card can I put into the A205-S5804? Laptop: Toshiba Satellite A205-S5804 (PSAF3U-0NR00V)
The whitelist protection is just removed, that doesn't mean that the hardware is compatible with the machine.
TTAV134, thanks for your help. My x120e is back from service. Do you have a working solution by now or should we continue where we left off?
